the t adapter that came with the jagg kit doesn't fit the oil adapter.... wtf!? can't mount hoses and fan switch... abort mission, rollback progress. wtf jagg.... wtf? that makes two botched kits in a row.... first arlen ness big brake kit and now the jagg fan assisted cooler
will go out over the weekend and get a proper fitting street-tee. dafk jagg?
The Jagg is a better cooler, that's a fact.
But if you buy one to cool your engine in traffic jam, the cooler without fan is useless.
I hate when people say this, it isn't true.. because when you get caught into traffic you're oil will already be 30-50 degrees cooler thanks to the cooler. it would take 10 minutes of sitting in traffic until your oil gets up to the normal 240 degrees.
Yes, the threads are off, bizarre. It may have been a one time goof from jagg or the street-tee supplier. But unpleasant nonetheless and a huge waste of time. Why would they not test fit it from the factory or have it pre-installed like the ultacool adapter below.
Bummer. Sure it's not the thread sealant causing grief?
Yeah I'd bet the don't pre install since they just throw that piece in when setting up for a fan unit, and that the adopter and back plate are stock for both assisted and not coolers. Sucks to keep having problems. Sorry man
My solution is a bit different. Not the best photo to show but I'm running two Jagg slim line radiators. I didn't want to run the wide line off of one side. I thought it was too big. I didn't think the low mount would work with what I have going on below and I didn't want to fan because I think the simpler the better. After talking to the people at Jagg and having them tell me it would be fine to run dual radiators I went with it. Just wish I had a better way to do the plumbing.
I went to the hardware store and picked up a 1/8 pipe tee connection and figured i'd ry to fit the non-fitting jagg supplied to in the connector. it stared to thread, but got stuck. i figured i had nothing to loose, so i forced it in with vice grips, the new t acted like a die and cleaned up the threads on the jagg tee, the tee hen fit into the oil adapter.
ran the fan power cord along the main power trunk on the right side of the bike back to when the brake patch in location is then up along the frame into the wire nest and into the electrical box...
down from cooler, along fram rail w/ power trunk
along trunk
more trunk
up rear of frame into nest
into power box and connected to HD power adapter
will test ride for a few days and adjust fittings. i'll also get more wire protection from hft later
rode it hard and no leaks. I will be re doing one of the hoses, i didn't leave enough slack for vibration. i'm also going to patch in an fan led... i have no idea if the fan is working or not. i cant hear it or see it. at least the led will turn on when the switch activates the fan.
