Looking at the photo, it *appears* your cover has the hole necessary for the shifter, but you'll have to figure that out yourself. You'll need some gaskets, and the always highly recommended service manual...
I just picked up this bike with forward controls. I'm used it mids. What will I need to covert over ?
I looked closer at the photo you added, and it look like your old linkage is already there... I outlined it. If so, it should be very easy. A new shifter arm, and one of the heim joints in the link below. http://www.bungking.com/mid-control-...ainless-steel/
EDIT***** Low Riders come stock with mids, so the previous owner probably moved them up to forwards. It's hard to tell, but it looks like the stock shift arm is up there on the forwards. If so, you may be able to use that. It looks like there was just a decorative cover added to the old shiter spline ----- http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/3209695...chn=ps&lpid=82
Remove that cover, move the arm back, add a new heim joint and peg... Bam, done on the control side.
Brake side is an unknown since you didn't add a photo.

Kirk, My 04 looked exactly like that, the previous owner swapped to forwards and kept all the original parts so it was easy. If your not in a hurry I have Mids and looking to go back to forwards.
Thanks for all the great feedback. If anyone is interested in my forward controls let me know. One other question. How about the break side? I have enclosed a pic.
On the brake side it looks like you will need the mid mount, brake pedal and brake rod. But if you swap with 04FXDI above you will get it all in the trade.
