K591 will wear out quickly.. maybe 5-6k miles is all. Michelin Commanders are good... I've ran one up front for several thousand miles now. Been running the Dunlop D407 at the rear for the last 50K ( 3 tires ).

Does your tire leak air when removing the screw? If not, it might be a real short screw and just be in the tread. No harm done then.

That's the same thing that happened to me, a screw in the back tire. Get the Commander II's you won't be sorry. I have a little over seventeen thousand on mine and still good tread depth left. Corners good and had them over one hundred mph twice and as steady as a rock. I would steer clear of the dun-a-laps.

I went with the Night Dragons. So far I like the handling. Waiting to see how they are on a grooved surface.

When my OEM Dunlop rear wore out I replaced it with a Dunlop E3 series. IMHO the E3 provides improved handling over OEM. Its too soon for me to comment on E3 wear. The OEM's were just to the wear bars at 5000 mi. Though I'm not 100% sure, its my understanding that Dunlops are the only US made MC tire.

Whatever you choose add a bottle of Ride On tire sealer and balancer. Available from Amazon. Added it to mine front and back, removed wheel weights and have no issues.
