Default New tires.

Got a screw in the tire today so I'm going to be needing a new rear tire. I see the dunlop k591 and the commander II. Anybody have any good reviews to give. My stock dunlopd are 8 Years old with 3k miles on them. I've only had the bike the last 800 miles so i don't have much experience with the dunlops.

Yep, the front tire sets it up and the rear tire picks it up That sucks; I'd personally look at Pirelli and Michelin, due to the sizes on my Wide Glide I'm running one of each front and rear but I've had great success with both Pirelli and Michelin on my HD's and sportbikes; Dunflops are on my oh hell no list...

Michelin all the way. I can't believe you're riding on 8 year old tires.

New tires were in the works since I got the bike a month ago but since it's been 60 in ohio I've been out and about using it while I can.

I run the k591 on the rear and a 401 on the front. This combo gives me confidence in the rain.

Most newer tires are all great in the dry...it's the wet traction that matters to me.

I've read the commanders run narrower. Is that true?

Commander 2 gets my vote. Probably the best wet traction tire out there. I also like metzlers, but they are soft.
