I'm 5'11" and 195 pounds. I can only speak for myself but my lepera bare bones seat is super comfy way more comfortable than the stock solo seat. And I like it because you sit a few inches lower on the bike.
I will be putting a Mustang Vintage Solo Touring seat on my 15 WG. I have a bad back and need a back rest. the stock seat on my Street Glide was junk. the Tall Boy seat helped on it, especially once it was broken in.
The dealer ordered the demo Tall Boy seat for me as well, but I really want a solo seat on the WG.
I am 6'3 and the forward controls are nice. It will be better once I get taller bars on it to help with my back, but being able to stretch my legs out to the engine guard will help as well.
I have found that just moving my legs around will help out a bit, so maybe some of the highway pegs that mount where the forward controls go on your Street Bob will help you out as well...?
I don't see forwards helping, because that would put more pressure on my tail.
You would be surprised how much better it is. I went from mids to forward mounted floor boards and it is so much more comfortable. When I had my Street Glide I positioned the highway pegs so the ***** of my feet were on them and my heels on the boards for a little more stretch. You get your legs out and it rolls your hips forward easing up on the tailbone.
