I bought some brass pegs for my bike and haven't put them on yet. Looking at the stock pegs I see they are offset a bit. Has anyone changed their pegs to a non offset variety and had an issue with the shifter or brake location. Looking at it I don't see the brake being a huge issue but the shifter seems like it may be poorly located after the swap.
I had to put my shifter down on the spline a long way, the dealership/moco put the thing on where I had to literally move my foot off the peg to shift up!
Aftermarket pegs look like it will move it up and forward 10mm or so, so might take a bit of adjusting to get it just right, hardly a big deal.
My shifter was super super high too. Not sure why they did that. I wear thick souled boots, so it didn't bother me too much on the ride home, but damn if it's not a pain in the *** when I wear my normal boots.

I switched to Arlen Ness Knurled Fusion pegs and the brake and shift peg lined up fine for me, no complaints.
Anyone know what the deal is with air cleaner?? Some sites (like JP cycles) say that certain air cleaners fit our bikes and other say they won't. Don't feel like spending 200 bucks for something I'll have to send back. I'm looking at the S&S teardrop ones for newer bikes (looks like the oldschool carb cleaner covers

Think the difference is you need something for TBW throttle bodies - not sure but standard TB AC's may not fit.
