i was having a hard enough time making up my mind between the wide glide or breakout. Now this bike comes out and its between this bike and breakout. For me the breakout is better looking bike and i can get one from my dealer for around the same price but i want to do some much to it aftermarket i will be spending money for ever. the only thing the S needs is new pipes. I also like the dual disk brakes. wish it had more color options and not sure if i want a all blacked out bike but i really do like this bike. I think it looks alot better than the regular lo not sure why. Guess i need to see them side by side to make up my mind.
don't care for it, rather have a standard LR in the superior blue. if you want an all black bike why not just buy a Yamaha for a lot less? Never understood the fools spending all that time & money to black out their chrome. So sick of looking at flat black harleys. the extra performance on the S won't even be noticeable.

I could care less what anyone else wants to do with their bike, but I agree that if they're going to sell bikes with spray can finishes, they ought to lower the price considerably.

This is my sentiment.....I still want to black out lowers, add dual-disc brakes, swap in mags, and do a handful of other small jobs. Personally I love the gold rims and black paint - glad they used the bobbed fender too. This is everything I wish the 2008 Bob was, with a few niceties thrown in.
What it's hard to put a price on for me is starting fresh - I've had my Bob for 8 years and want a clean slate.

cruise control is nice. you could make your bike the lower for about 3k
I just put a deposit on a LR-S and can't wait for it to show up. Still trying to find out what kind of interest there is since I was the first to put some money down after it had been available for a week.
I passed on the opportunity to get an XLCR and instead bought a Norton Commando back in late 1976. Always wondered "what if" about that Cafe Racer". This bike reminds me of that bike a lot.
The new Low Rider S fills the bill for me in so many ways.
Cruise control (meaning you get ride by wire too), upgraded suspension (may still swap out for Ohlins rear and Racetech front cartridge later though depending on performance), big motor, standard risers vs. adjustable, ABS standard, security, and I do like the bobber rear fender.
I am not a fan of keeping chrome clean but black is just as hard to keep clean so a bit of a wash there.
I'm going to be removing the "speed fairing" and putting on a windscreen or maybe a decent looking batwing if I can find one (don't like the Memphis Shade model for Dynas).
I'll further freak everyone out at the shop by putting leather saddlebags on and I'm ready to travel.
Bastardizing an H-D custom?
Just making it mine and actually saving some money by utilizing a great platform.
I may just surprise some go fast guys on European bikes with this sneaky looking thing while touring...
Does anyone know if they are changing brake pad compounds for better braking and if they upgraded the headlight too?
I think this bike looks freaking rad! I'd love to have this thing sitting in my garage next to my Fat Bob. I've always had reservations about the Heavy Breather intake, though. Also, some color options would have been nice. The metallic silver, sunglo red, and even a dark metallic blue would have been really nice.
Does anyone know if this bike is showing up at the IMS shows? I am going to Chicago this weekend and I would like to see one. My dealer said he expects one in March. Like others here have noted, he said they have sold one already.
