Anyone have issues with the front wheel bearings. I started to notice my front end groaning when I'm swerving back an forth in my lane having fun. I know the stock wheels can be noisy some times when turning but I don't think that is the issue with the small little S shapes I'm making in my lane. It happens turning in both directions and sounds like it's coming from the front wheel. It's hard to describe but a mild groan is the best I can do. Thinking I might have killed my bearings. Anyone?
Steevo Jolly.. I've seen a dealership powder coat a set of LRS wheels gloss metallic copper. That's the best I've ever seen. I'll post a pic if I can find it.
Has anyone put on a detachable sissy bar and kept the rear signal lights where they are? Been trying to do some research on it and not having much luck
Cobra makes one that has the rear mounting point up higher, allows you to keep the rear lights where they are, as well as the housing for them. It's on my to buy list.
You can also notch the mounting holes on a solid mount bar. Takes about 3 minutes to install or take off. Not quite as fast, but beats the 40 minutes a non-notched one takes.
Yes. I got my dealer to install the HD hardware on the fender struts for the HD detachable sissy bar. It involves removing the indicator light stems and installing different stems for the lights as part of the hardware for the sissy bar to attach. It doesn't look great imho , but its functional. I later installed a rear number plate surround that included led lights for indicator s and brake. No stems then.

This my solution. Great Bike Gear relocation bracket and Custom Dynamics all in one plate frame. The QD hardware is the Bare Knuckle Choppers kit for their Adventure Bag System. Stock HD gear would look about the same.

I am looking to do the same setup as you. Any suggestions/info on how you wired it?

Like I said above it's a GBG relocation kit and CD plate frame. Make sure you get it with the diode to run it as a 3 wire setup. You need this to make it work as run/turn/brake. You'll need to notch your license plate in a couple of spots where the wires come out of the LP frame. I depinned my original signals and license plate light wires from the connector housing. Then you'll need to put new connectors on the wires from the LP frame. You'll also need to solder one leg of the diode to the running light wire and the other leg to the turn signal wire, the leg on the opposite side of the diode is then soldered to the power wire of the LP bracket. You'll need to do the same thing for both left and right signal. Once you have made those connections, you'll need to put new connectors on the three wires (run/turn/ground) and reinstall in the connector housings. After that all you need to do is re run the wires back up underneath the seat and plug them back in to the stock harness.

Did you ever get an answer or figure out what was causing this noise? I have a new to me '17 FXDLS that I've noticed does this. I just assumed it was tire noise or something and haven't really worried about it at all.
