I have leather-type bags, purely for function, don't care for how they look on my bike. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I'd take the defender hard bags over anything else - they're utilitarian, serve a purpose, they weren't meant to look pretty, which is exactly why I love how they look...the fact that someone is finally replicating them so I don't have to sell a ******** for an OG pair is awesome, and shows that there is obviously a market for them.
Agreed. I'm kinda surprised an aftermarket supplier hasn't done this sooner. The first time I posted a pic of my bike in coply trim on this forum, I got 7 unsolicited PM's wanting to buy/making offers for the bags. Good offers! Shocked me a bit.
Damn! I guess I'll have to start saving again after I finish my motor work this winter... I'm really happy with my cheap throw overs and haven't considered dropping serious coin on a set of bags. Until now...
What I've noticed about the Defender bags is people either love them or hate them. Many other bags people can be in the middle on.
That being said I am surprised too that someone has not done this earlier.
it probably has not been done before because of the deal with the rails, the old defender the hard bags had to be mounted on the fender and the fender itself was braced to handle it
and LOL to the guy saying the bags are ugly with his wild hogs bags
