I'll vouch for the DK TTIs, I just installed the W158s in my Street Bob with V&H short shots...did NOT like the sound of the shorts, was going to replace the system. Ordered the TTIs and I'm VERY happy with the sound now. Deeper, no tinniness, and the flat spots in the lower-mid range of the powerband are gone.
More linear power delivery, better sound, and only $30 with shipping? No-brainer.
Baffles out, a DK Custom Products W158 TTI and you'll have a much deeper tone to the pipes without the bright raspy overtones and the low and mid range torque will be improved.
I was thinking of ordering the quiet baffles for my short shots not because they are too loud but because I noticed a big loss of low end torque after install and I could stand a deeper tone. After reading this I may order these if you think they will have the same effect.

The V&H Quiet Baffles won't bring back your loss of low end torque, they'll quiet the overall tone somewhat but they don't bring back the loss of the lower end torque to any great degree. The Thunder Torque Inserts work differently, they increase exhaust velocity and scavenging and help prevent reversion of air in to the system. The TTI's bring back the low and mid range, they deepen the tone of the exhaust removing the bright brassy overtones. With baffles out and the Thunder Torque Inserts you'll have a better exhaust tone and improved low and mid range performance.

When the air-fuel ratio is correct within the pipe the fuel can burn off in the hot exhaust and that's what you're hearing.

FWIW, I had a ton of decal pop before, I'd say the TTIs got rid of 80-90% of it with no other mods. I can still get it to pop by winding it out and snapping the throttle shut, but under normal conditions it barely pops at all. I'm guessing you could get more or less pop by rotating the TTIs after they're installed but I haven't messed with that yet (too snowy this week).

Man, it's probably one of the cheapest, best-bang-for-the-buck things you can get for your bike. Hell, people drop $100 for a new pair of handgrips - these are $30 shipped and actually make your bike run better. Like I said before, for me it was a no-brainer.
