Hi guys,I own a 2006 wide glide with 25,000 miles.I recently purchased H.D. part 48458-06 chrome swingarm.The part is nicely chromed,however the 2 bracket sections that mount to the frame are not shiny chrome.I was told that this is a different type of metal and cannot be polished.Do I have a defective part?The aftermarket ones from J.P. cycles appear to be entirely polished chrome.Even the bracket sections.I will also use this opportunity to replace the rear tire.Can't decide on which tire width 160 or 180.If I go with 180 I'm thinking night dragon,scorcher,etc....Any thoughts?

 

it would be safe to say that the ones made by/for HD and the ones made for JP are NOT the same part...
