I know that there are tons of threads about this already and I've read through probably every one of them... bobber07's is one of the best BTW... but I have not found an answer to my specific question.
I've been keeping a close watch on eBay for the last 2 months trying to snag a right side fork slider from an FXDF to complete my parts list for my conversion; however, every time that I find an FXDF being scrapped out the right side lower is damaged or already sold. I've found plenty of sets of fork sliders off of 00-13 touring models which are also 49mm fork tubes, so my question is will 49mm fork sliders off of a 00-13 touring model fit a '11 FXDB?
I can buy a '11 FXDF right side new for ~$250 and still have to PC both left and right side lowers or I can buy a set from a touring model, already PC'd, for ~$250 and just replace both of my lowers.
00-13 touring bikes have 41mm tubes. So on surdyke or kutter and get the 14-later low rider right leg. No fender mods needed, direct bolt on. Pick up the right caliper while your there
Thanks for the feedback guys. I was afraid of that. I've got about another month before I'll be able to complete the upgrade, so I'll continue to keep my eye out and maybe get lucky. I was trying to avoid the LR lowers because I'd need to buy both sides otherwise my OCD would kill me. If not, then I'll just buy a new FXDF slider and be done.
Monster,
What engine mods did you do to get 129hp/147tq?
And just to verify, I can't swap dual disk with ABS correct?
All it takes is money. You can do it if you throw enough money at it....
If you get the whole set up from a bike with dual disks and ABS I would think it would work. Might be cheaper to buy a bike with all that to begin with, then swap over Street Bob, or whatever kind of bike's tins.

That makes sense. I went ABS because I am not an amazing rider. The more I shop for my street bob I realize I should do what you recommended. Just swap the tin's and black parts out.
