Those of you that prefer backpacks, be sure you don't ever carry anything sharp that could pierce the material (and then your back) in the event of a "get off."
Saw a friend get "skewered" by some loose drill bits, back in the early 1980's...
Glass bottles aren't a really good idea either, if you think about it.
Confederate and Suede are those the same bags? One bike with turn signal relocation and the other with out?
They are the same bags, the leather version. It is my understanding that turn signal relocation would be required to mount the bags. I had already done this prior to purchase. It's a simple, straight forward process that can be done in under 30 minutes. Just remove the tail light lens, remove the turn signal connectors in the tail light, feed the wires through the rear fender, remove the turn signals. Attach the turn signals to a lay down license plate bracket or other mount, feed the wires back through the rear fender, reconnect the turn signal connectors to tail light, reattach tail light. Done. The bags come off quickly and the mounts from leatherpros work with hd quick disconnect mounts for a sissy bar. It really is the perfect setup.
Yeah everybody likes going back and pointing out the leather pros. Even I'll confess, as bags go, the leather pros do look good, they flow. And since I can't really find a pair for sale, it does speak volumes for the product. But again, those bags are about 700...and again, my wife would take my favorite knife, and gut me while I'm awake.....and rightfully so hahaha
I paid just under 300 for my vikings and brackets. I found them of good quality for the money. If I was using bags everyday I may have looked into other high price bags but I couldn't justify it.
I like the looks of my solo bags. Small, but I use the space when needed. Bad&g has bigger bags, and you can get them a bit wider too. I think the style I picked looks better than no bags.
