Primary Zipping Noise 2007 FXDC
I will make this as short I can. I have a 2007 FXDC with 1000 miles on it as of yesterday. It has run perfectly until yesterday. I was out riding with a buddy and we made a couple of stops and everything was going great. When I started my bike after parking it there for about 1 hour, I noticed a very high-pitched whining/zipping sound coming form the primary side. I had the clutch in and the bike was in neutral. I turned it off and then started it again with the same result. I then put it in first gear and engaged the clutch slowly. I drove it about 200 yards before it stopped. I stopped somewhere else for about an hour and came out, started it up and the noise was not there. Any idea of what this might be? Other than the noise, the bike is running great.
