I have an '07 w/ just over 14k on it and I love it. If you are over 6' you will want to go to forwards. As far as the power it is ok nothing crazy but overall I think its a great bike for looks and performance, I recently added a new ignition switch in the console because using the key everytime you want to start the bike is a big PITA.
I had a 06 street bob a few years ago and now I'm considering buying it back from the guy I sold it to. I was in the street glide scene for awhile and enjoyed but sold that bike. Everyone and their mother had one.
The 06 was a solid bike no issues but it is hit miss on them. As long as the maintenance is done I have no seconds thought on them. The 96ci engine is okay, it'll move the bike but if you have test the 103 or larger engine you will want more. The 6th gear on the 96ci is pretty much worthless even with a stage one. Also with 06/07 bikes the triple tree is different compared to the 08+, I changed the apes to street slammers.
The '07 is good... a few '06s had issues with the IPB ( inner primary bearing )... also, the stock compensator sprocket is weak, same as my '08 (changed to the SE comp).
Wheel bearings were changed in '07 or '08.. can't remember now... but I would change those out to new ones.
It's gonna vibrate a bit more than your SS does ... but if the price is good, the base bike is good... depends on how it was treated during those 24k miles and the maintenance done... if you can get ahold of the service records.. or if you know the guy selling it... bonus points.
