MS Gauntlet vs. HD 1/4 Fairing
I have the gauntlet in the shopping cart and am close to pulling the trigger but one thing bugs me. I see some pics where it looks similarly narrow at the bottom like the HD fairing then other pictures it looks huge and disproportionate. Is that just the angle or is it substantially wider ? Are people maybe shaving them down ? Also if you care to include pics of either mounted it'd be aprreciated

I think the dimensions on the bottom will be similar with the two considering the fairings are made for mid and narrow glides. Not sure what you are putting it on. I made my HD 1/4 fit on my 03 Wide Glide, and the bottom are flush with the outer lines of my forks. It seems small, but I have a tool bag underneath it that helps with the smallness of the fairing look.
