I agree with robbyville. The Squareback is the choice if she's a solo rider. My daughter complained about the SB today after 35miles. The Sport Tour should be here by Wed. I'll get some pix up of that one too. And also do a side by side.
Carl, you were right, I do love that seat. I just can't explain how much more comfortable it is for me.
Got my Squareback today. Only got 50 miles on it today. Please tell me this thing will break in and soften up a bit. The shape is very comfortable but too hard for my ***. The backrest however is awesome. It doesn't push me forward and prevents me from slouching. Which will be extremely nice for long trips. I kind of wish I had just gone with the fastback, I knew the Squareback wasn't going to be super passenger friendly but it's even skinnier than I thought. Not in love with this seat, but with only 50 miles on it it's too soon to be disappointed.
I dont feel like the backrest really takes away from the look of the seat.
The backrest is really easy to install and remove.
Anyone know about this? This is the backrest as it came from C&C. Im wondering if this is a way to adjust the backrest. I dont think it is but thought I'd ask.
I'm afraid I don't know about the backrest, although it looks great!
As for the break in, yes it does break in quite well within the first couple of weeks and I believe they do have a 30 day guarantee if you're not happy.
Still, make no bones about it, this is a stiffer seat than many out there, I like that because the ones that have too much padding seem to break down or eventually indent from pressure points enough that it becomes more uncomfortable than having stiffer padding that won't settle.
If I remember correctly I found the seat shaped perfectly but also a bit stiff at first, now I can ride 260 miles on the backroads from Palm Desert to Las Vegas no problem.
The Sport Tour should be the way to go. I'll get mine mounted up and try and get my daughter on it before the weekend.
The Badlander "broke in" a lot better than I assumed it would. Momma can only go about 75 miles before she needs a break, though. I am likely going to have to change it. How did your daughter do?
