I was out on mine with the OL on Sunday, we rode like 55 miles. She was complaining that she was uncomfortable. I told her, you should have said something I would have pulled over. She is saying I should get a new seat. Its either that, or a FLH size bike with the roomier passenger seat. Well see, I like my Super Glide, and it suits the riding I do which is weekend /local.

Joining the thread late, but when I lived in Wichita a few years back, I rode with a crowd of about 30 other riders and they were all on baggers, mostly Street Glides and Ultras, a handful of Softails, and 2 Big Dogs (that also upgraded to Street Glides). There may have been one other FXD in that whole group, but we never crossed paths.

I lived in Dallas after that and rode with a friend that had just bought a Softail Slim. He was new to Harleys and that was the model that called to him on the showroom floor. I don't think he had a priority list of style vs function that a lot of us Dyna riders do. He just wanted a HD and the softail lines worked for him.

From what I can tell, Baggers are by far the most popular and have been for about 10 years, followed by Sporty's, Softy's, then Dynas...although I've heard Softail sales are experiencing a pronounced drop lately.

I don't care that Dynas are low on the HD popularity list, and I actually like that my bike is often the only Dyna parked in front of the bar. The bagger crowd in Kansas used to give me a friendly hard time about my "little" bike, and half of them probably thought it was an XL, but they rode what worked for them and I do too. The Dyna is the lightest frame with a full size motor, externally sprung, no frills...perfect bike in my mind.

Our local HD dealer didn't even get in the new Lowrider S. They said that it wouldn't sell.
They also went on to say that the Dyna's were the least selling bikes that they have.

S won't sell...lol. My dealership sold 4 of them on deposit before they arrived at the shop. I was lucky enough to get the 5th one when a guy withdrew his deposit.

Seriously - I'd love a Dyna size setup with a 1200 Sportster EVO engine.

I bet Harley couldn't keep 'em in stock if they did it.

I'll stick with the Dynas with the 103s or 110s. I sure would not buy a Dyna if it came with a 1200cc motor.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for a slow motorcycle.

Yes, it does. Great looking bike, by the way. In a year or two I may sell my 2015 Low Rider for a LR S. I already know that my next HD will be another LR.

Yes they are very out of touch when it comes to these things.
I have a T-sport , and the new Dyna S is the only current bike that HD has that I am even interested in.

I probably will not see one in person until Sturgis.

My standard reply to such comments is "I'm not fat enough to need a bagger yet".......
