I'm glad you are enjoying yourself, but I've ridden a Roadglide. It's a great bike, but I actually prefer something a little more unrefined. I want to feel a little more rawness in my ride. I want to struggle a little bit. I want to know when I get off the seat of my bike that I've ridden 300 hundred miles. Its part of the reason I chose a Harley in the first place.

I'll never say that I'll always prefer the Dyna. I may change my mind when I get older. There was a time not so long ago that I wouldn't even consider a Harley.

I'm exactly the same way. With my cars, too.

Sold my Dyna for a Street Glide (wife driven decision), maybe I'm not the rider others are but that bike handled very well and even a bagger is better than a car. Trikes....someday I will own one, it will be a servicar because I have an unhealthy infatuation with them for some reason.

My 08 Street Glide would as well.

Your guarantee is not valid, I sold my Dyna and bought one, liked it but didn't love it so I sold it and bought my Dyna back!

I disagree, the statement was directed a Dyna owners and they are choosing to prove the claim wrong.

Dyna's are great for solo riding and performance. I plan on getting a street glide, but I will be keeping my SB as a race project toy.

Orange bike: 120R Road Glide on the Dragon; wife and I on a dealer demo
Blue bike: 103 T-Sport; my bike of many years, best Harley I've ever ridden on any two lane road. Period.

Because of..."wait for it"...BIAS (we're all guilty of it...Human nature)

(that was for emphasis, but really it's possible bias)

What was the original question posted by cggorman?

On with the TANGENTS...

Maybe a different "Take"...

One main reason I ride my bagger, aside from the obvious possible reasons (comfort for 3k miles, hauling the OL, etc) is to "Step Back" from my Dynas/Sportsters. Everytime I ride them I say to myself..."I'm going to get in trouble". The Bagger usually brings me back...slightly (I do still get the occasional "Slow Down" in my ear )

It reminds of the 'ol Stand-up Jetski Days...Your buddy falls off and you do everything possible to keep him from getting back up. Circles within a foot of his head and Ski = Major Waves

I have the honor of Two Citations on a Jetski...
- "Towing a Water Skier without an Observer"
- "Reckless Operation of a Motor Vessel"

Two different Events (different dates, lakes, and sherrifs) ...btw

I'm 72 and ride a 2014 Wide Glide. Baggers are for old men with fat old ladies. I also ride a Husqvarna off road. Now that's really bucking the trend
