Yeap, one piece at a time. I could preach 14" Lucky Daves Bars, Thunderheader and Le Pera seats all day, but if 12" MX TBars and Corbin seats feel better, and you like the fit and finish of a Sawicki pipe, then I can't tell you what to do.

Just go piece by piece and research and see what you like best. Hell, if you get something that you're not pleased with, sell it in the classifieds and buy what you want.

Yup. I've got a small pile of rejected parts that just didn't fit/work/feel/look like I really wanted. Eventually I'll sell them...maybe...or use on a different bike.

How tall you are and how long your arms are have a lot to do with what bars will be most comfortable for you. If I had your bike I would go with tall risers 8 to 10" with a set of mx bars. Go with the separate riser and bar set up, instead of bars with integrated risers, that way you still have a top clamp to bolt your gauges too. That's the one thing I really wish my Low Rider had, is the gauges mounted up on the bars, so that I could see them when I'm hauling *** instead of having to look down at the tank to watch the tach.

Seats, the badlander is the worst possible seat for comfort you can find I think. If the LePera seat you have on it now is comfortable, I'd leave it. It's not a bad looking seat.

Opinions are going to vary on what pipe to go with. My personal opinion is that for sound mainly there's just no substitute for a Thunderheader. I had one on my last Dyna and loved it. I'd go with Chrome, since their black finish isn't the best. I have a Bassani Road Rage on my current Low Rider. It's okay, but no comparison to the Thunderheader as far as the sound.

Opinions are also going to vary some on which shocks to go with. Like others have said stay with around a 13" to 13.5" shock. There are a lot of good write ups on here on brands like Ohlins and Works. I haven't changed my shocks yet, so I don't have a personal opinion to give on what is the best.

Fairing, I think the Ness for the narrow glide front end looks the best. I think the Rifle Roadster functions better though. That's what I have.

Hope that is helpful.

Yeap- I love the classic look of a lifted 39mm Narrow Glide Ness fairing, but I had one one my first bike and it was flimsy and didn't block much wind. I got a Rifle fairing and it was a world of difference. Ultimately I ended up going the T-sport style route for even better function.

I had 13.5" Hagons a couple bikes ago and they were good, but still I wanted more. Went with 13.5" Works, and again, way better.

Had a Thunderheader on my first bike, but the shitty bracket and finish sucked so I tried Bassani Road Rage on my second bike. The pipe was pretty but performed poorly and had a crappy tone. Back to Thunderheader. Perfect examples of function over form.
