Default Oil filter housing screws??

Figured someone here might be able to shed some light on this. I am looking to add an oil pressure sensor and oil temp sensor to my 2013 FXDC in conjunction with a Dakota Digital MCL-2011 gauge. Both sensors are 1/8 NPT. I wondered if I might be able to use the 2 set screws in the oil filter housing as possible location for them and if so what size they are as I can't seem to find any info on them in the service manual at all. If I can't use that location any ideas on where I might tie into the oiling system with the sensors? If there is a single location that already exists I could get creative with the use of a 'manifold' with 2 ports and just tie into the single point with that. Thanks for any insight guys!

I believe you need to tee the oil pressure sensor.

That 'tee/manifold' sticking out might be a bit unsightly... perhaps you can install just the adapter plate for an oil cooler and use that.. ?

I wouldn't be surprised though, if those threaded ports could be used... some physical investigation may be required.

Well, I'm also busy with finding a nice place for a temp sensor and I also found those 2 screws in the oil filter housing....
So I'm curious, did it work?

You might want to look into a non thermostatic sandwich plate for an oil cooler, Jeggs, Summit racing, Fueling and Jagg offer some that would work.

The two plugs in question are used in the manufacturing process. I would be worried about restricting the oil flow to the filter and motor.

Thanks Joe, I thought about that too, but there is a problem, there is limited extra space (about 15mm) for the oilfilter because of a sensor (see picture).
That would lead to the use of a shorter oilfilter, can that be done without compromising the cleaning capacities?

Not sure where exactly you could tie into the existing system but if space is a concern you could always use a selection of fittings and hose to move the (usually) bulky pressure transducer to a more discreet location. No different than old school mechanical pressure gauges in that respect.
