Just hanging around cause I want to see the end result. Nothing meaningful to add other than I agree with Vdop is you could arrange anyway to get out to him
Yep, there's not a place in Ct that's more then MAYBE two hours from me. E-Z. I PM'd him.

Yeah, might be worth an overnight if you can make it happen, rent a truck and trailer if needed. Would be nice to have your bike tuned by someone who doesn't come up with excuses and knows their stuff regardless of which tuner is being used!
Seeing that you have not done any upgrades internally to the engine, buying a 58mm TB is a waste of money at this point. Any gain you might get will be in an RPM range that you use very little.
I did go with the cam upgrade, but am reluctant to go with heads and TB until more info is available. If a compression bump is the next logical step, I am all about it. I just keep looking at that 117 kit...opinions and feedback are so polar opposite on this kit, that I cannot make an informed decision.
Engine is broke in, and I am having a good time. If I had a reputable tuner near by, I would already be done. I am looking for a clean, simple, reliable upgrade that I don't need to run back and forth to a tuner for. My dealer is reluctant to do the 117 simply because they have never done one.
MChad, sorry for the hijack, and the rambling, brother.
Might be better to spend the money on the heads & better cams instead. I think you will see more bang for your buck there.
Nah, I'm not cracking into my brand new motor any time soon. I'm happy with what is has, just want to make sure I have a good tune. I only commented on the TB as a reference to what a dyno shop suggested. Don't think I'm there yet.
