SE-95" with SERT impressive!!!
So this past Saturday it warmed up real nice into the 60's, and I finally got a chance to put a few miles on her on well known roads. The bike already had a SE intake w/K&N, V&H Big Radius pipes, came from the factory w/203 cams, and SE flat tops, so it was no slouch, and the pre tune dyno numbers were like 88Tq/83Hp...not too bad. Now though, its a dam monster and a half. From a dead stop the increase in overall performance is just amazing....and in a roll-on from 60MPH my riding buddies w/96" engine's couldn't touch me at all.....the torque is just unbelievable.....even in fifth gear, crack it open and she pulls harder and harder!. This Deuce will spank the *** off my SG all day and night! All this and its running about 10*F cooler (measured in the oil tank on the dip stick....a analog one). The install of the SERT and dyno tune also removed the low load/low speed miss issues I was having....something the Fuel-Pac could never do....what a POS that thing was....for my bikes configuration at least.
So overall I am VERY happy with the way she is running right now, and feel the SERT/dyno tune was money very well spent. The dyno tech told me it has a bit more in it, and a set of cams would wake her up even more. I just dont know if I want that just yet. I can run the season like this, and be happy about it, and then change out the cams for next season. I DO NOT want to give up any reliability AT ALL as a trade for more power, so I know even if I do get new cams...a new backing plate & bearings...gear drive ect.....that would be about as far as I would go with it for a while. The bike only has just over 6Kmiles on the clock....so I got time. If need be in the future I would do a top end....but only after its needed.
Well its 04:30AM here and I need to get dressed....going trout fishing this morning.
I just wanted to give my impressions of the SERT and how a quality tune can take a already very capable bike, and turn it into something like a friggen monster!
Edited....sorry can't say the SE heads won't get the job done. Too quick on the keyboard.
