Ness' site says I need 02-965 (2000+, dyna, left side hub mount), and thats what I got. I dont see a 02-972 part any where on their website. I think its just the bolt holes in the bracket are wrong, like one was drilled too far into the braket if that makes sense. I'm also currently in contact with Ness to try and reslove it, I'm currently riding my bike with the kit installed but I've measured the surface the pad used on the OEM rotor and what the pad surface is on the Ness rotor and the stock uses more of the pad. Like the caliper is clocked wrong for a 15in rotor with the bracket I got, and its missing some of the rotor.
That's the thing they haven't adjusted the site yet and have to specifically request. Do a search here recent thread about it. Trust me if you still have your stock spoked front wheel, we have the same bike. This proper bracket will get your caliper right where it needs to be.

So it was YOU. How did you do that?
You forced it on? Did you not see the multiple threads covering this issue? How did you do it? When i test fitted the bad bracket it simply did not fit. The bolt holes don't line up due to the angle of the caliper mounts on the sliders.
02-972 is for 2006+. There was a change in th slider mounting points. Contact Ness Tech Support: 1(925) 479- 6379. Tell them what happened. They will send you the right brackets, gratis.
Got my Pirelli's from Jake Wilson, very happy! couple of days in shipping, $263 for both all in. Stoked!
Unfortunately the Arlen Ness Big Brake kit seems to be back ordered for a month so may just install the tires and do brake pads while waiting and just install the rotor when it comes in.
Pirelli goodness! You'll love them One though; since you're going to run the bike while you're waiting on the Big Brake don't do the brake pads yet. Use your old pads on the old rotor and save your new Lyndall pads for the new rotor. Fresh rotor deserves fresh brake pads You did go with Lyndall, right?

For '06 and up Dyna you need the caliper bracket marked 02-972-1. My kit had the incorrect adapter and with a quick call to Ness the new correct adapter was shipped immediately. Can you get an image of your caliper adapter and caliper so we can see how everything is aligned? cvaria is right on with his post, contact Ness. There have been several threads on this; I even mentioned it to you when you posted you'd ordered the Big Brake kit in the 'What did you do to your Dyna today' thead about checking the part number of the caliper bracket.
With the correct adapter, everything aligns perfectly

Yup, just spoke to the guys at Hogpro, will ship everything out when the rotor comes off backorder. I went with the Lyndall Z+ pads front and rear. I looked at the golds but it sounds like they wear a little faster and are meant for folks who maybe ride either with more weight or inclement conditions.
You'll really like the Z+ pads; a sweet improvement over the OEM pads. I'll be honest with you, I really don't notice much difference with the Gold+ pads on the rear brake compared to the Z+ pads; on the front I'm still not sure if the Gold+ surpass the Z+ or not. Time will tell there and I suspect I'll go back to the Z+ on the front later this summer.
I hope you can get your Big Brake on your ride soon; the difference in front braking is just astounding Just love that thing...
