My 03 Volusia has it. Well, my google-fu has turned up that apparently HD doesn't do this.
It is a great safety feature. Also standard on imports. If you ride off with a kick stand down and Lean left it'll leverage the bike off the ground. I THINK that with the way the stand is bolted onto the HD that it'll just fold up though. Hopefully.
Guy on Volusiariders.com was riding his big bagger (not a Suzuki...I think it was a Kawi) and it had the kill switch. It broke and he didn't fix it. Took a long banking turn to the left and leveraged up. Went over the edge of a hill. Didn't die or get seriously hurt, except his pride.
The only Harleys with side stand interlock switches are international models. VINs starting with 1HD do not.
I can't speak for the newer water cooled Streets or Vrods though. Heck, my 2002 Super Glide didn't even come with a clutch interlock.
As far as something like that being a life saver? If you bet your life on anything but competence, something is eventually gonna get you.
I would bet good money that nearly every person in America trusts their life to something besides competence every single day. So we're all going to get it eventually. Doesn't make safety features bad ideas.
It's called I've never had an issue. Just asking the question as it is different from the last decade I've been riding. STILL DOESNT MEAN IT IS A BAD THING TO HAVE SAFETY FEATURES!

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It's never been enough of an issue with HD to make it worth considering.

Snide remarks get snide replies.
Everyone eventually throws a leg over when they are distracted, or tired, or whatever. I doubt that this feature was installed due to some huge issue with people who ride imports just off and forgetting to put their stands up.
I don't believe in nanny statism. Have I hurt myself using dangerous equipment? You bet I have. Usually because I've done something foolish. Or lost focus.
And it wasn't a snide remark. It was an HONEST one. If you have trouble with honesty.....
