First the low tires and the peg about to fall off, now get this ****.
Put a few miles on it today, and a some point I noticed that the forks weren't lined up quite straight going down the road. They were a little off to the right. I had a pretty good idea what the trouble was right off, so I headed into a gas station to take a peek. Sure enough, the right side of the the rear axle is back nearly a full half inch further than the left. Thing is dogtracking like a sumb1tch. Totally out of alignment. Not only that, but the strings on my banjo aren't near as tight as the drive belt on this thing. You could play a tune on that sucker.
I may be looking for an address to HD corporate. None of this is anything that gives me any great amount of concern, and I can certainly straighten it all out in just a very quick new york minute, but $hit like this really messes with people who don't know much about their bikes, and it gives HD a hell of a bad name too.
Psycho, congratulations on the new ride and getting back in the saddle. I like that brake light on the sissy bar. I can't believe the lousy prep they did on your bike. Good luck with HD corporate. Ride hard and stay safe.
nice looking bike psycho, glad to hear your getting back on the horse. I know how you feel, I totalled a crotch rocket last march at 120MPH hitting a curb. the tree I flew into stopped me pretty quick leaving me with a torn ACL/MCL and a fractured knee cap along with many bruses and scrapes. I got another rocket but sold it a few months later, I realized I wanted to cruise more than I wanted to go fast so I bought my 2006 Street Bob. it's nice just to get back to the riding which is what I enjoy doing, my buddies still ride rockets and do the stunts still and to be hones I don't miss it one bit.
