I just got a new to me 2015 Dyna Switchback and I'm a happy guy with this deal. I traded my 2014 Dyna Low Rider and some money for the Switchback. Don't get me wrong I liked the Low Rider a lot as well. But thought a change to a Switchback would be better for my old bones. I was out today putting the FLD through its paces. I can honestly say this is one fine riding machine. The comfort, handling, performance and a very stable platform at any speed. I like all the features of the Switchback and will definitely be putting on some cruising miles.
Congrats on the new ride. I love my 2014 Low Rider but I must admit I find the Switchback an appealing option. Never rode one. Went to two different demo events this year but there was no Switchback available. Probably a good thing. While having my ignition switch recall done the salesman had me sit on a Switchback and took the windshield and bags off. I was impressed. I'll be interested in hearing your report after you've had it for 6 months or more.
Both my wife and I both have FLD's. We bought these as a 10 year anniversary present to ourselves. Of the HD's I had test ridden, only the Road King actually handled better, but I wasn't a fan of the additional almost 100lbs. For myself, I had to go through some experimentation on bars / seats, but I really enjoy the bike. The touring friendliness is a big plus for me.

When I bought the 2014 Low Rider.I never noticed a Switchback in the dealers showroom. I've never seen one at the Demo rides either. I can honestly say I really like my FLD.
I like the Switchback. I think you will be happy you made the trade. Post some pics of the new bike.
Thanks for your reply Tommy C. I'm already lovin the FLD and can't seem to stay off her. I'd like to post pic's, but no cell phone, IPad or anything other then my computer.

Good luck and enjoy your ride.
Hi rauchman.
I think that's very cool, you both have an FLD. Purchased together on your 10 year anniversary, nice presents. I myself grew fond of the Road King bagger style and over all looks. But like you said almost 100 lbs. heavier than the FLD. I'm not a big touring guy. I do 2-4 hour rides frequently with city driving. I prefer the lighter Switchback for my needs and riding routines. I changed the Grips, but will leave everything else alone for a while. I will probably need a backrest for lower back support sooner rather than later.
Y'all ride safe.
