I did'nt know about the tank lifts helping reduce wind buffeting with standard hieght windshields on WGs. I do think the 3" lifts make some of the bikes look like older viragos or intruders as they totally change the profile of the bike. I think the 2" looks great on the streetbobs. I'd like to see back to back profiles of a '06 or '07 WG with the lift. Cool product! I'm seriously thinking about one now.
Rocklayer...while checking out your tank lift I noticed the sprung saddle. Question, did you put in a cover of some sort to hide all the crap under the seat and how did you attach the front of the seat and springs. Pictures would be great.
I put on the 3inch springs and the bars just touch the tank. Now looking at altering the forks stops to help.
Yes I did have to make a cover that hides everthing and also give me somewhere to attach the seat. The bracket is attached using two of the stock bolts on the bike. The seat itself is quick detach. All you have to do is pull one pin out of the front of the seat and the seat is off of the bracket. And Then just take the two stock bolts out and the bracket is off the bike and you can put the stock seat back on if you want. I allready made one for someone on the hd forums and if you pm me I can make you one too or you can look at my pictures and make one yourself. It's not too hard to make but you have to have a welder. I would be glad to answer any questions about it.

I started out with a home madethree inch lift which worked and looked fine but just installed a two and three quarter lift from jackyl. The three inch strains the harness just a bit and the Jackyl lift looks so factory that you have to look twice to see what the mod is,which I like.
