Default dyna wide glide front peg relocation question

Hello everyone, I just picked up this 2014 wide glide yesturday and love everything about it. The only thing is im a little on the short side, so my legs rub up on the air filter on the right side and the horn on the left side. Is there a kit out there that could kick the pegs out to the side and/or closer to the back? thanks.

Harleys are kinda wide like that,, it's something you get used too. Look at the way they're bolted on,, of course you can spread'm out a little further. But maybe some stirrups or wide "mini boards" will help.
There are HD models with Mid Controls,, perhaps you should have chosen a different model?
I'm sure others will have different ideas for you.

You can move further forward also by modifying your existing seat or getting a new one. If you like your existing seat check out meancitycycles.com. They will make your seat more comfortable by replacing the padding with memory foam and/or gel. Also they will cut a relief where your tailbone sits which is a common area people get pain on long rides. Lastly, and perhaps most important to you, they will move your butt forward, back, higher or lower as you see fit.
Quite a good company at reasonable price.
Good luck!

You can install mid pegs that might help if the interference occurs below your knee. If they hit at your knee, as mine did, moving peg location probably won't help.

Personally, I feel the only good solution is to delete or relocate the horn to the cross brace in front of the engine and switch to a sidewinder style air cleaner.

Depending on just how much room you need, you might be able to get by with just removing the stock air cleaner cover. I'm kinda leggy and that still didn't help me.

I couldn't be happier with having my knee room returned and equal on both sides.

There are fancier and more expensive options, but DK Customs sells a nice air cleaner setup and a low profile horn kit with wire extensions.

I had the bike out for a good 4 hours today. I am stepping up from a sportster to a wide glide. and the sportster was a little more narrow so you really didnt touch the sides. During that 4 hour ride I started to get more comfortable. I guess it may just need to readjust to the step up of the bike. I see that Harley offers a reach foward seat. Says 3" closer to the front and 1" closer to the ground. I probably will start that route on getting a new seat before I start messing with the pegs. My sporster had mid controls and I put foward controls on it. I love the foward controls much better.

I failed to mention that I can reach the pedals just fine. I just wanted to stick them out wider so my legs arent bunched up on the air filter and horn. Im thinking the seat may just do it.

There is a reduced reach forward control kit that Harley sells for about 150.00. It moves the pegs up and back an inch. Makes a huge difference in comfort.

I wouldn't stick those pegs out too far; you've already got some limited lean angles with a Wide Glide, you're going to find out about that very soon. Sticking pegs out further like a couple of outriggers is going to guarantee you bury them; this beastie isn't your Sportster That stupid A/C hits everyone's leg, change it out for a low profile DK Custom 587. Problem solved, problem staying solved

Atta Boy,,
I see that Harley offers a reach foward seat.
Sure, might be a good option, worth a try. Our local dealers have those seats as "demo",, you can go to a dealer,, mount one on your bike and try it for a few hours,, no charge.
