I too was bothered by the knee hugging. I bought kuryakin iso pegs and some extensions that made them go out another inch. Not expensive and gave me the extra room I wanted without sacrificing too much lean angle. Capped it off with matching iso grips
I have forward controls stock and put mid pegs on as well. They're folded up most of the time. I have a DK air cleaner and used the stock cover. I used the bracket from football cover and shifted it a hole farther forward. End result, it looks stock but forward maybe an inch. Clears the knee better. No problem with horn side for me.

I did the same thing. New pegs, shift lever, brake pad from Kuryakyn. Also changed grips. Ordered through Amazon. Couldn't be happier
Here's the model #s
8025 one inch extended large ISO pegs
8021 longhorn ISO shift peg
8044 brake pedal pad
Don't have model # for ISO grips. But you can look at website
Hello everyone, I just picked up this 2014 wide glide yesturday and love everything about it. The only thing is im a little on the short side, so my legs rub up on the air filter on the right side and the horn on the left side. Is there a kit out there that could kick the pegs out to the side and/or closer to the back? thanks.
I have the same problem. On previous cruisers, I've either had or added floorboards. The Switchback floorboards are sold as a kit, but won't fit the WG with the stock exhaust.
I got the chance to sit on a WG with the fold out heel rest footpegs. That felt really good and allowed my leg to sit further from the air cleaner comfortably. I think the ideal solution would be to put one of those Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather intakes. That would provide a clear path to the peg.

Waiting on the new v&h pipes and the screamin eagle breather to come into dealer for install. the stock breather is pretty big and bulky
