My wife's primary is making noise. I did the ipb 2 seasons ago, and now I'm wondering if it's going again.

From what I'm reading the problem with 2006 is the dowels between primary cases. (not enough dowels to line everything up)

So will a 2007 primary fit a 2006 bike? The 2007 has the correct number of dowels to align everything.

Yes it will

 

I think the issue is the transmission isn't drilled to accept the dowels not that the inner primary is missing them. Some late year 2006 are drilled.

 

for sake of argument though, the 2007 will fit. If it does not have the dowels on the 06 dyna you can always take them out of the primary and it still fits. It should have the dowels and to make it work well it should have the dowels

 

'07 will fit in an '06.
