Something you will never put on your Dyna?

I have the much hated items, the fairing, a radio and saddle bags, but you won't find any extra bling or flashy crap on it. Yea, I could have got a Street Glide, but I didn't have the extra $7k to drop on it, still don't.
I love my Dyna and don't feel I will ever part with it.
What is "de-Fatbooking"?
And I thought Willie G. was supposed to be like, royalty or something.
The Fatbook is a catalog put out by Drag Specialties for dealers where you can find copious amounts of excessive chrome, expensive non-functional parts etc. In the case of the previous owner of this bike they skipped the Fatbook and ordered straight from HD. All the bling on this scoot is Willie G, Bar n' Shield, nothing aftermarket except for the maltese cross mirrors that got binned. That sissy-bar all in is about $700 Canadian, the air cleaner is around the same, the tins were $2800 CAD new etc.
As for Willie G being royalty? The guy is lauded for pushing the "factory custom" movement, his "style" and whatnot, the vrod is an abortion of a machine, and that factory custom nonsense neutered individuality in my opinion. Now you've got every Tom Dick n' Harry ordering parts for the dealer to install instead of putzing around in a shop.
I may be old fashioned but I believe it's not custom if you bought it, a mans toolbox should contain more than a JP Cycles catalog and a credit card and that there's no point walking around looking at bikes at a show n shine because 99% of them are just the same thing over and over, stock bikes with shiny bits bolted on. Or maybe I just inhale too many fumes in the shop.
Sorry for the rant.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders

Willie G. Is responsible for the FX Super Glide no? Although the guys on the street really invented it by mating the Sportster front end on to an FLH Frame and trimming all the fat.
