Figure out your trade value before you go in. Be realistic about that and what youre willing to pay for a maximum out the door price.
Remember, OTD pricing and your interest rate and loan duration set your max payment per month. Establish that and recalculate amount financed less your trade value. Figure what you need for trade value to get payments you want. If your trade value and needed trade value are close, youre good to go.
Credit union, avoid dealer financing if possible. Credit union gives yoi the ability to hagggle like cash and gets you 1.99% or in that range.
Wait until the '18's come out. They will probably get the new motor that the touring bikes have in the '17's. Hopefully by then some of the kinks will be out and there will be some aftermarket parts available.
Or in one or two years the new engine will be in the Dynas
To me that new engine sure seems like what many people have been waiting for for a long time.
Uhh huh, the Mrs had a 96" on her FXDC and now the FX's are running the 103. I used to run the bajezus out of her FX and now that I own one I can tell the difference with the 103. They've softened the neutral and the shifting is so much more quieter. It's got real good power in all ranges even after putting just slip-ons. I was expecting a low end power drop but nope didn't lose a thing. I was also expecting a pop on shifting and engine breaking and there are none? I'm betting the reason stock HDs sound a bit louder over the last few years is because they've flashed the ecm and increased the fuel map. Prob wrong.
I just purchased a 2016 Cosmic blue Low Rider yesterday and got a real good deal. It was the last LR in their inventory and where very happy to move it.
They offered to get me a 2017 but told me they wouldn't do as good of a deal. When I saw the numbers I was very happy so I did the deal.
Better yet wait for the world to end. Once it does, it won't have mattered.
In case you're one of us finicky types who like to have a little fun while still alive, buy what you fancy within reason. I seriously doubt a thousand bucks one way or the other is going to make much difference in the course of most of our lives. If you like olives, I say, go green!
