Default Saddle bags for Low rider

I was told that you can not put saddle bag or throw overs on a low ride as you have to slide the bag over the sissy bar. Don't know if I like that or not. Didn't know if there was an after market for side bags.

Barry, you can certainly go with throw-over bags.

You would probably want them mounted under your seat.

There are many types and styles to choose from.

foxcreek leathers has a set throwovers, no brackets or supports, angled to match shocks in three styles. I plan on ordering some from them in the very near future.

Well took the plunge and bought a new Low rider today so now I have 2 bikes in the garage but I will sell the sporty. Don't get me wrong the sporty is a very nice bike but the low rider is like day and night. The rubber mounts make a hugh difference and no vibration. Of course I have not been over 50 mph since I am in the break in stage but it won't take but a day to put 50 miles on it.

Did check those saddle bags out and will give them a call this coming week

One thing I am going to have to get REAL soon is new pipes as the stock pipes are SO quite, even my sporty with the screaming eagle make a lot more noise then these stock pipes. Didn't know that HD even make pipes that quite. So any suggestion what would be good for the Low Rider or just go with the ones like my sporty has?

Will post some pictures this coming week. No I am not excited. Ya Right.

Barry,
I just sold my Lowrider and went with a Road King, but I bought a good pair of after market from a place on the internet called Leather Connexions for the Lowrider. I bought the ghost brackets also and the bags could be on or off in seconds. The one thing that did suck was that I had to relocate my turn signals and do away with the lay back license plate.

Barry,

I like the sound of the Screamin' Eagles...not too loud to **** of the neighbors, loud enough to know it's a Harley. Go listen to a set on someones bike with the same motor...you'll know whether or not it's the sound for you.

Hey Mac,

Screaming eagle is what I have on the sporty and it has a nice sound but with bigger engine on the Low Rider, who knows. We have a club meeting in a few weeks so I will be checking out other pipes. Friend of mine put Vance and Hines on his new soft tail and it sound great, think he paid about 900.00 installed. Och

It's going to cost some coin, no getting around that...it's close to a grand when you do it right, Stage I, Slip Ons, and a remap...but it does put a little life into the bike, and it's probably the most satisfying mod you can do...(other than maybe a new seat)
