I used to have 18" bars, but after a crash and bent bars, I switched to these T bars that have a 6" riser. The cables are way to long and I have them looped up. I cant find my stock cables to measure, but should they be sufficient length as I need to order? Or is it better to go with cables for 12" bars?
I use wire, like single strand 12-14 gauge. Mock it up, run the wire as close as possible were you want the cables to run, then measure the wire.
String, yarn, wire, tubing, whatever you have that's handy.
Use this handy feature at Magnum cable to find what you need to order,, stock or plus/minus sizes. You don't have to order Magnum (although I'd recommend them). https://www.magnumshielding.com/?route=bike/search
