Injection system faults
After reading the post concerning injection or carburettor, I would be interested to hear any stories concerning faults on injected Dyna’s.
Basically …
1)What were the symptoms ?
2)What turned out to be the fault ?
3)What had to be repaired/replaced ?
I gather that the most common fault is for the pressure line (inside the tank) from the pump to the feed **** tends to “pin hole” after some time, causing the bike to suddenly starve fuel.
My 2004 FXDXi suffered this fault, and I was a little concerned that the starvation might cause a knock-on effect of damaging the injector (no fuel - just air being forced through it.)
Anyhow, .. Back to the topic …has anybody suffered any horror stories !
