OP... Nice clean slate you have there. If your bars put your hands wide enough, and the wrist angles are good, then just add extensions. If you do, West Coast Tbar sells grade nine bolts and extensions. You can also order extensions form DK, or Bung King for a considerably better price. But the bolts, I personally would run grade nine with extensions.
For suspension, there are a lot of options. Ohlins are top of the line, but there are other options that are reportedly just as or very very close to the same ride. Race Tech, Works, Hagon... You're probably safe with any of those choices. My Indie rides Race Tech on his FXR, and he tells me that my Ohlins and his piggy backs feel very similar. One thing to keep in mind budget wise is that you should look at doing both front and back. So if you have a $1000 suspension budget, maybe look at a 5-7 hundred dollar rear shock setup, and then doing a front spring swap, and add either Race Tech Gold Valves, or Ricor Intiminators. I put my $900 Ohlins on, and the rear was great, but the sloppy front was just magnified. I ended up going with Works drop in dual rate cartridges. I like them for the price.
Anyhow... I always like following others progression when modding their bike, and I look forward to seeing where you take this.
