Put the poor gas tank back down to stock position.
Of course, if you like it like that, pay no attention to what I said. I just was never a fan, even if it helps cooling, it sure doesn't look cool.
It came like this, from previous owner. I think the tank lift looks absolutely cool for a lowered bobber style bike. For this style, I'm not sure. No I don't think it helps for cooling anything, that's just what some yahoo is gonna say when asked why he lifted his tank.
New LePera Daytona seat arrived today. I'll get some better pics later...not like y'all don't know wth a LePera Daytona seat looks like, lol.
Talked with the guy from SouthEast Customs and he was extremely knowledgeable and willing to help with a Works suspension build. He's local, kinda, so I'm going with him. Can't beat someone willing to slow down and explain a custom process, guide your decisions, and not make you feel like you're a pain in the ***.

Rick at Southeast is who redid my stock rear fender. He lowers it, re-radiused it, welds all holes shut, then repaints it. He got all kinds of Street Bob builds to get inspiration from.
Excuse the bugs. Added the JD Customs coffin cut hand guards tonight and also wrapped the upper forks in paracord to add some black. Still need to install my fork gaiters sitting on my tool bench but awaiting a bike lift. Not sure yet on a fairing. I'm concerned about buffeting and not sure I want that hassle. Still more to come...
Wait now, did you say paracord? Umm how are you securing those if you dont mind?
I'm thinking I want to ditch the forward controls. I think the OEM mid controls go too far back. I looked at the "further forward controls", but they're way too expensive. I believe I have found here on the forum that the new FXDL OEM controls are basically what the "further forward controls" are.
Anyone know if they will fit up? I would love to find some FXDL takeoffs.
