Hello there i want some +2 " tubes for my 2014 DL. I wanted to buy the Fxdwg tubes at first but i was wondering if they are Hard Chrome or Show Chrome quality? Should i go with the CCE Hard Chrome or the Harley/Showa?
Custom Cycle Engineering, you had it right; I'm thinking long and hard about bumping my Wide Glide from the stock 27.50" to 31.50" fork tubes over the winter
I have 2" over CCE show chrome tubes. They look great and don't show any real scratches after a couple years of use. No regrets.
And TCC, I may know a guy who put 4" over WG (6" over standard) tubes on his WG, and ended up going back down 2" because it was too tall. Still has the longer tubes in his garage as far as I know.

Thank you, and good to know I've wondered if it was just a taste too much length on those tubes. I was willing to try but wasn't going to let my stock tubes go, just in case

Hard chrome is more durable but not shiny. Show chrome is shiny. Which look are you wanting? The stock Harley tubes are cheaper than the CCE ones. The 49mm FXDWG tubes are ~2.4" over stock and is what I put on my Street Bob, you'll just need a longer spacer to use the same springs.
