FXDS vs ?
So.... I got an opportunity to buy a 2000 FXDS with 14k miles, damn near mint condition, but have never heard of the bike/model. Doing what research I can gather online, it seems I've discovered the following:
1) It's essentially the precursor to the t-sport without the adjustable suspension. (Same frame as I understand it)
2) It was offered as 2 models. FXDS and FXDS-Convertible.
3) Convertible had removable bags and windscreen.
4) Either 28 or 28.5 degree rake depending on what source I'm looking at.
5) Is there a reason people prefer the FXDX to this bike? It seems cheap enough and similar enough to be compatible with the same mods. I'm on a mild hunt (ok, more like just poking my head around) for a Dual Disc Dyna to build as a "club"/touring bike. I already know how I want to build it. Just not familiar with this model.
Any input or help would be appreciated!
