Default How does your bike run at lower speeds
I love my '06 lowerider and overall, it performs and handles beautifully.

But I notice that at low speeds, when I have to drive in 2nd (or occassionaly 1st gear), the engine sound isn't smooth. I don't exactly get surging, but the engine noise isn't consistent. The bike generally doesn't like to run in 2nd gear (the drive trains has some slack and it isn't completely smooth).

Does anyone else feel this?

Is it just a fact of fuel injection?

I have no problem. It runs perfectly. (But, it did whisper to me a few times that it doesn't LIKE to go slow.)

Have you done any tuning with the SERT?
Some advance timing and more fuel in the lower RPM/LOAD tables does wonder.

At a constant speed (25-45 mph)mine had the lean surge a bit. That's why I went witha new intake and PCIII.

No problems with mine yet. Some days it does not seem to be happy in any gear for around town driving. Not a surge, just seems to be missing a smooth powerband at 30-35. It seems to run fine at all other speeds.

Dan B - you bring up a good point.

I have the Stage 1 A/C and a Stage 1 download, and free-flowing pipes. I've been keeping an eye on the plugs - they seem ok so far. But that doesn't mean there aren't segments of the throttle range that have a poor mixture. I've stayed away from tuners for now - but eventually I would like a SERT.

I suspect that would make a difference - but I need to find someone good at tuning the SERT in this area.
