They all are adjustable. GPR is the best. I won't ride anything without one.

Yup... GPR, but a royal pain to fit with low bars.

So with that contraption, how do you adjust the steering bearings? HD used a pinch on the top tree for holding the adjustment on the early pre-2006. Looks like it it gone.. That sucks. Later use a threaded stem with nuts above and below the top tree so the setup is likely OK.

Hi Bwoltz,
Contraptions be me, The damper is held on with two 1/4-20 bolts into the upper triple clamp, and the damper tang is held in a pinch block that wraps the steering head on the frame. To adjust the bearings, remove the damper and everything adjusts normally.

This is the pinch block being fitted and a bonus peek at the adjuster nut.

It just occured to me that the first photos of the damper look confusing because the steering stem nut looks like part of the damper, this photo shows whats going on with the modified (cut for clearence) RSD stem nut.

Like I wrote that system does not exist on dynas earlier than 2006.. Technically early (ref 06) FXDWGs have the same stem as 06 and later but all the narrow glides don't.. The stem has no threads and a simple bolt down the middle. Won't work well with the GPR upper tree.

This

Stabilizer will not correct wobbles - otherwise it would be called a wobble-izer

It buttresses up (stabilizes) a correctly set up suspension - in turns..., over cracks / tar snakes.., and the like

===========

Now - that you experience wobbles only at higher speeds - what is that saying

Things are close - but not 100%..., and it'll be one of the smaller things - that is either out..., or beginning to go out

Spokes not torqued / out of alignment

Wheels out of balance / out of round

Bearings beginning to wear

Tire wear

Just looking for more rigidity,

that' all. :-)

At what speed do you feel that the steering has a bad feeling - or less rigid?

I haven't done a damn thing to the front end of my low rider and it feels as "rigid" and stable as any other bike I have ridden (well, except for my old Sportster) around the roads and corners I typically ride. I'll admit to rarely pushing beyond 85 MPH - mainly because I don't have a windshield and the feeling of my head being flopped around in the wind at that speed is not pleasant. :^)
