I really like my S&S teardrop air cleaner. If you want a classic but different look, you can get it in black rather than chrome. I've had great luck with my fp3. I got it about hundred bucks cheaper off of amazon.

It is the same reason why most high end computer software requires a license activation. Without that people will just make copies of the program and give it (or sell it cheap) to everyone else and the company that developed it makes squat.

I use the DK 587 AC also and really like it - simple lower profile and well made and affordable.
