Default Fuel controller for 07 Dyna......

Im running short shots, with a cut up SE air box off an 06 Streetglide , also VH fuel pack tps, its not cutting it, runs really hot , and pops but not awful....there is so much info out there its hard to decipher what applies and what dosen't ....Thanks in advance

The heat is the displacement and air cooling and it is what it is. Even when their running optimal, the beasts run hot. The popping is your needing more fuel in the idle circuit column of your map (column 1), at least that's what it means with my Power Commander V. I couldn't tell you how to manipulate the FP3 but, that's what VH CSR is for I would think.

If your running the FuelPak and not the FP3 make sure your map is correct. You can go to the website and pull it up if needed. Then call customer service and they'll help you tweak it.

Theres a thread discussing disconnecting the 02s from the exhaust with the FP3 instead of leaving them in. A rep from VH chimmed in on the thread and gave a real good description of why the exhaust pops and how VH is working on making 02s removal a future standard.

I have a Power Commander III on my '06 and it runs great since day 1.

Call Fuel Moto and talk to them. They can get you set up with the right tuner.

I have a Fuelpak (the old one with the red led numbers) on my 2011 SB, and it was running lumpy. I contacted V&H and they sent me a new set of numbers for the map. It made the world of difference. Still got slight decel popping, but not objectionable (any open straight-through like straghtshots or shortshots etc will get some reversion at some revs/throttle positions on decel), cured by completely closing the throttle on decel.
