Default 2016 FXDL low rider

Many may remember yet maybe not I bought this in july 2016 new and I had a 120R installed and sold my 103 motor. I had about 1700 miles on it and loved the bike however noticed an oil leak and took it to dealer and he said upon visual inspection it was a gasket at base of cyls. They expressed when I bought it there was no warranty but also reassured the motor was reliable and had few issues. They quoted me 500 bucks and said they would cover the rest? However when they broke down the motor the tech tore down cyls and heads and all that goes along with disassembling and he inspected components further for his assurance. Then the dealer called me and said they found a build defect. Explained the anti rotation pin was put in wrong and it sheared and the top of the motor housing where the push rods bolt on at the base was worn off the top. Hard to explain but it was a rise on motor block where the push rods sit or mount. The reassured me from that point to not worry they would contact Harley and also would cover all repairs except for the 500. Harley did not recommend a motor replacement but said they would replace the lower motor housing and oil pump. Metal frags. got into the base of motor and oil pump. They replaced the oil pump and motor housing or block. they removed components and replaced them in the new motor housing. It took 2.5 mos. Got it back and rode it the warm day in dec. 70 degree day and I loved that bike. Power and ran fine. they reassured if any problems came up they would take of it if its related to their work. BTW! They charged me nothing ! They are great folks...... Pic attached !

And best of all, it's the right color!!

Glad it's all coming together, and super glad your dealer is taking care of you.

Damn...120R with a Thunderheader. That thing must be a beast!

Slightly biased here, but great looking bike, especially that color

I am waiting for thunderheader to finalize their 2 into 1 for the 120R. Talked to the owner few months ago and he said they have a proto type for the 120R but waiting to test it before releasing it. I am at 126 HP and 136 torque. They could have got more HP out of tune but said if I got 135+ hp then likely my torque would drop. I am happy but thunderheader said I could get 136HP and 136 torque. OK thunderheader. Its time to release it !
