I just bought a XL "Gorilla" cover off of Amazon, and I am pleased with what I received. The fit is nice with my low bars and should fit the Fat Bob as long as your running the stock drag bars and risers. The cover is wide at the rear and should cover bags without issue.
The Harley-Davidson covers are made by Dowco and last about a year in daily use, The Dowco covers are of OK quality but the Gorilla cover is made much better and might last two years in daily use, the Dowco covers fall apart at the stitching that hold the elastic cord in the cover after a while, I dont think that will be an issue with the Gorilla cover as it is double stitched and uses a flat band elastic. The cover is double layer fabric and as a giant plus, it's made in the USA. However the XL size won't work with tall bars or windshields. About $46.00.
So you'll drop $12-$13K or whatever for a HD motorcycle but want to go the cheap route and save twenty or thirty bucks on a cover. Outstanding.
Hi OldEnuf2NoBtr,
In 5 years of daily use, I have had 4 of the Harley-Davidson and 1 Dowco covers (same covers) fall apart in the same places, first the elastic seam comes unstitched, the silver heat shield always ends up with the pipe poking through it, after that the wind just tears it up. I have to run a cover every day where I work to keep the bike from rotting. From my parking spot I can throw a rock into the pacific ocean.
So what have I learned after 5 covers... Covers are a limited life span item when used every day. The Harley and Dowco covers are a good product but not for what they cost, but they do fit the motorcycle well. My 46 dollar cover is made better and is thicker that the Harley or Dowco covers, the cover fits by bike well, its made in the USA. I went cheap and saved fifty four dollars, I think I did OK.

I can't speak for others, but for me this isn't about price nearly so much as it is value/performance. I'll gladly pay top dollar for top quality but H-D doesn't have the best track record for quality outsourced accessories. In this case, for $150-$200, I'd bbe looking at a custom cover made from Kimberly-Clark NOAH fabric. I've covered my vehicles with Noah (Wolf & Covercraft) for years. For some reason I can't seem to find similar qaulity covers for my Harley. Seems odd to me.
