That's what I need...A bit further back..I'm pushed up against the back of the stock seat and it sucks. If I can get a few inches back I'd be perfect. For lowering I'm running Burly adj shocks..No problems
When stopped, your hips need to rotate down, then, when riding ( especially with "forwards"), your hips extend out forward. This motion can cause hip cramps. And they hurt. And make the rider do some less than safe maneuvers until they get stopped.
Anyway, just be sure you're comfortable on your ride!
Had a Le Pera Bare bones with gel on my Shovel at one time. Bar none the most "uncomfortable" seat I have had in my 48 years of Harley riding.
I hear ya bud, I had this one on my Springer for one season and it was absolute misery within just an hour. And this model had some padding compared to the Bare Bones.
After I got tired of my Lepera Silhouette solo seat (like the barebones only a little more padding), I got a Saddleman Knuckle solo seat. It's what I ride with now all the time and it's very comfortable. You may want to look at the Saddleman seats. Here's a link to a post I put up when I first got it.
