low beam not working
Just noticed my low beam doesn't work on my 07 low-rider. High beam and indicator OK. Can the original light go bad on the low beam part? Am going to dig into the bucket shortly. Got some weird diag codes..U1300 and U1014.

Dtc's beginning with the letter u are typically communication/bus faults. You probably just need a bulb. If the high beam works, you know you have a good ground as they use the same ground. Test power at the low beam power circuit with a voltmeter or test light. Or just buy a bulb and replace it. More than likely, that's your only problem. I had my low beam go out, by itself on my street bob.
yes it can go bad, the low beam. i had it happen to me, at 2am, on the highway. i rode from FL to NC with my high beam on because of the failed low beam? was to late/early to be stopping in weird places. replaced the bulb at rocky mount hd. good to go.

Checked the wires in the bucket. All had power, so it's the bulb. Easy fix on this one. Thanks for all the info.

Low beam is actually useful for things like keeping oncoming traffic (including cops) happy at night. It's also nice to have some redundancy in case the high beam quits.
