Seating the rings occurs when the engine is "coming down" from rpm. The faster it comes down, the better for the rings.

R&R Cycles recommend 3 heat cycles. Ride for 50 miles,change oil.
Then change oil every 250mi for 500mi. Dyno.
20/50 in cooler months and 50wt in summer months for break in I think they said.

Yea I saw that on their website, I agree with everything except changing the oil that quickly. Not to say I'm right and anyone else is wrong, i just prefer to wait the 500 break in. If I get metal shavings in the oil, I'm slightly paranoid I may not see it with those intervals. Once broken in I change oil/primary/trans every 2k anyway.
