So we are going to try and cerokote the the fork tubes on a dyna (instead of DLC)
My question to you all is what the hell is this yellow plastic ring?!?! At first glace it seems like it doesn't seal anything and maybe allows the fork oil to flow through? Again, I don't know. I seems like it can be removed with some force, but we haven't touched. The damn thing isn't even listed in the parts catalog
Looks like a plastic bushing to keep the fork tube from rattling around the damper rod.
I have my doubts that the fork seals will last long or seal at all with the tubes cerakoted. That stuff has more in common with power coat then dlc. I don't think they can get it smooth or slick enough to work. I am interested to see if it work though.

would you recommend we not do it then? what fork seals are you talking about?
